Learning needs to be truly dynamic and reach beyond the boundaries of books or classrooms. I envisage a world where we are instrumental in facilitating, real life connections and through music and dance, change the world.
Learning begins when two people have the capability of nurturing a new life. The birth of a child is the first step. My quest begins with the thought “How can I enrich the journey of the new being, in practice rather than in theory”?
The answer lies in well structured, meticulously planned and kinaesthetic enjoyable activities that would create children who will respond and react positively to the learning environments. The result would be a happy, empowered, well- adjusted and competent individual. Music and dance have been known for uplifting moods over the ages and transform anyone into a happier being …and Happiness is the key to success in all walks of life. This led to the conception of ‘Saplings Studio’. With my rich experience in various renowned early childhood education Institutes in Kolkata, Saplings is able to provide an excellent fun learning experience by connecting and bonding with kids over music and lots of movement.

As an independent early childhood dance educator, since the past 10 years I have designed and implemented various programs Music, Movement and Yoga plans for Toddlers (0-2years) and Pre-schoolers (2-6years) at Saplings.
A keen observer that I am, enables me to constantly adjust the activities and environment of my class to accommodate my observations and truly ‘follow the child’ to cater to their needs.
After years and years of teaching, planning, tweaking, singing, dancing, ordering props, thinking, writing, trial and error, dreams, and design, I author a blog where I share my views, ideas and strategies to have healthy and happy kids.
